Make the thermostat disappear—and let the architecture speak. The SLN-TSU-750 R1 muds into the wall to create a trimless, paint-ready opening with a refined ¾-inch reveal around Nest. A universal mounting plate keeps the face pure while accommodating a wide range of low-voltage devices—thermostats, vacancy/occupancy sensors, and repeaters—so the wall reads as one continuous surface rather than a cluster of plastic boxes. The R1 revision adds clearer bracket marks and a wider mud area, making it even easier to achieve a flawless Level-5 finish.

The gypsum platform installs before finish: set the body between studs, adjust the perforated brackets for ½-, ⅝-, or ¾-inch drywall, tape and mud the perimeter, then sand, prime, and paint so only the precise aperture remains. The 750 style provides a ¾-inch reveal around Nest with a published finished opening of approximately 4.82 by 1.3 inches; use the Dimensional Data for exact layout and clearances. A universal plate and mounting hardware are included; use the #6-32 screws supplied with Nest when attaching the device. The assembly fits within typical wall depths (approx. 7.48-inch square face; ~1.93-inch body depth) and supports both new construction and remodel applications.
