Envisivent Permanent Flush Mount Air Return creates a seamless, mud-in return that finishes level with drywall for a quiet, architectural look. Sized for a 20" × 20" drywall opening, the face disappears once taped, mudded, and painted—no frames or visible screws—so walls read clean and intentional across design-first residential and commercial interiors.

The paint-ready cover seats into a galvanized frame and installs with standard tape, mud, and sand steps in 1/2" or 5/8" gypsum. The vent face is manufactured from triple fiber reinforced cement board for stability and a crisp perimeter after finishing, with machine-beveled outer edges to help resist cracking at the reveal. The slotted field presents twenty straight horizontal slots over a 16" × 16" vented opening, providing approximately 93.75 square inches of free area for low-velocity return air. Frame the opening square and true, keep compound out of the slots, and paint the face with the surrounding wall so the grille recedes into the architecture. Coordinate airflow and filter access with your HVAC plan; this is a permanent mud-in grille for interior walls.
